I love coming here; it’s the perfect escape from the city. The hotel staff is more than accommodating, especially when I got locked on my balcony on a snowy day! I made a reservation to come back in May, but may change it to June, and I always look forward to coming back here!

We stayed here for a night in mid-December for a pre-holiday getaway. It was just what we needed! We arrived around 3 pm and found the room ready, with classical music playing on the direct tv. The view of the Hudson River, Kingston Lighthouse, and Catskills beyond was just beautiful, and the sunset was perfect. The room had so many extras you don't get at a normal hotel-dimming lights, whirlpool tub, rainshower-it just set the perfect mood for a relaxing and romantic getaway. The décor was minimalistic but perfect, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We heard the trains, but it was not a problem at all. The breakfast was amazing. The proximity to the village of Rhinebeck was great-we had a wonderful dinner, some shopping, and then just relaxing time at the Rhinecliff. A wonderful experience, and we hope to return soon!!

My wife and I stumbled upon The Rhinecliff Hotel last week (our first trip to upstate New York) and stayed the night of May 18th. It was an Incredible stay! We were checking out the Omega Institute and, were actually looking for someplace closer to Rhinebeck. Your hotel rooms are exquisite; the view of the Hudson River stunning. In truth, however, we ended up staying because of the staff. My wife went into the hotel to inquire about availability and her/our interaction with Ilea (Woodstock '94 alum) was so warm, personable and inviting we ended up checking in. Kudos to the people doing the hiring: every staff person we interacted with was exceptional. We are regular NYC visitors from Wisconsin but based on our stay at your hotel we plan to add the Amtrak ride up to Rhinecliff to spend the night at The Rhinebeck as part of our NYC itinerary. So see you people on our next NYC trip!

I just got home from spending 4 nights in your hotel and wanted to let you know that it was truly a wonderful place to stay, especially for a music lover like myself. The r&r was fantastic yet there was enough going on so as not to become boring. The locals are great people as well and truly add to the enjoyment of the stay. I have travelled a lot with countless hotel stays, but this was definitely one to remember and there is no doubt that I will be back upon first opportunity.

Fred and I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how wonderful our stay was at the Rhinecliff. You did a magnificent job on the renovations right down to the smallest detail. Our room was perfect and I especially enjoyed the rain forest shower. Very impressive. The scenery was breathtaking and we loved the trains! I am only sorry we didn’t get to spend more time with you and I am also sorry I didn’t get in the kitchen with your chef but we will be returning for sure and hopefully the next time I’ll be able to put my chef hat on! LOL
Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

The view is incredible, the renovations of the rooms and bathrooms were done to a fantastic standard (I especially like the plank floors) and the property is full of nice touches (like the wine rack you are building) that will really make it very special. It might have been expensive to do, but you ended up with a very fine boutique hotel. Even the breakfast service was outstanding; the food and service as well as the location. I've stayed at many, many boutique hotels, and you really seem to have gotten it "right". Anyway, congratulations on getting it opened. It really is a great spot, and we were very, very happy to have chosen it...it is clearly the finest hotel in the area. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat (and likely will). If the restaurant is anything like the rest of the hotel, it's going to be an amazing combination.
Cheers, Lawrence
